CZW: Jon Moxley - Parental Advisory Explicit Violence 5 Disc Set Review

After months of having the majority of this review done, I'm here with the full thing. This is a five disc set that Highspots released that covers Jon Moxley's entire CZW career along with a few random matches from IWA Mid-South and NWA Force-1. It's time to take a look back at the early years of a man now known as Dean Ambrose.

1) Jon Moxley vs. Roderick Strong - IWA Mid South: 2008 Revolution Strong Style Tournament - 12/5/08
Being a fan of both guys, I was looking forward to this one right off the bat. This was a first round tournament match and didn't go very long although there were some good exchanges here. All in all, it's not anything special, but it was cool seeing these two lock up considering it will likely not happen again any time soon.

Match rating - **

2) Jon Moxley vs. Jon Dahmer - CZW: Total Havoc - 3/14/09

Much like the match with Roddy, this was pretty short. The reason this one was kept short was probably because it was the opener. Mox & Roddy made good use of the time they had however and the result was a decent opening match. Moxley wins with a DDT on a steel chair. Another rather short yet enjoyable match. Hope things pick up soon.

Match rating - **

3) The Switchblade Conspiracy (Jon Moxley & Sami Callihan) vs. Brain Damage & Drake Younger - CZW: An Eye For An Eye - 4/11/09

I said in the previous match review that I hope things would pick up soon. Well, my wish was granted as we got one hell of a match here. The first two matches on the set were pretty short and weren't brutal at all so when chairs, tables, & a fork came into play, I knew this one would be the first hardcore bout on the DVD. There were number of brutal moments here such as Moxley digging a fork into Damage's head and lip. If I remember correctly, all four men got busted open at some point in the match. The most jaw dropping spot saw Moxley throw Damage off the top turnbuckle to the floor through a table. I say through a table, but Damage hit mainly the floor although the table did break despite him only catching half of it. Good hardcore brawl.

Match rating - ***1/4

4) Jon Moxley vs. Brain Damage - CZW: Blood Pressure Rising - 5/9/09

Before the match, Moxley & Callihan beat down Drake Younger only for Brain Damage to make the save. I like how we're getting a continuation from the last match on this set by the Switchblades feud with Drake & Damage being showcased. The match gets going as Moxley sneaks around and attacks Damage from behind thanks to a distraction from Callihan. A fork came into play early on as Mox pulled it out of Damage's boot and put it to use. Soon, both Damage & Moxley were bleeding pretty badly. The fork spots here were sick. A chair came into play near the end of the match and Moxley used it to work over Damage's arm then put him in a submission hold. Some last minute highlights include Moxley throwing Damage off the top rope onto the chair and Damage hitting Moxley with a package piledriver for the victory. Decent match that was only a taste of what we'd get from these two in the future.

Match rating - **3/4

5) Jon Moxley vs. Drake Younger - IWA Mid South: Opportunity - 5/22/09

There wasn't much of a crowd there for this match so going into it, I didn't really expect much. I was surprised though because these two still worked hard regardless of the crowd size. The match starts off with some basic wrestling and an array of arm drags, but things would soon spill to the outside where Drake was sent into some chairs. Chairs actually played a big role in the outcome of this match as we saw Moxley drop Drake onto pile of chairs only for Drake to kick out. Younger recovered and managed to hit Moxley with Drake's landing on the pile of chairs for the victory.

Match rating - ***

6) Jon Moxley vs. Brain Damage - CZW: Tournament of Death VIII - First Round Tables, Chairs, & Silverware Match - 6/6/09

There's been some violent stuff on this set so far but NOTHING as violent as what these two did here. This is the match that features the infamous saw spot among other things. Plates, forks, chairs, and barbwire were used here in this brutal match that kept me on the edge of my seat in shock the entire time. The name of this DVD is definitely applicable to this match because it's not something younger viewers should watch and if you don't like hardcore matches, I don't recommend watching this because it's not for those with weak stomachs. For that reason, it's hard for me to rate this bout, but I'm going to rate it for what it is. And what it is, is a great hardcore match that tells a fantastic story. It was booked perfectly considering Moxley was the hated underdog & he took a beating from Damage yet he kept coming back. Then in the end, Moxley's partner Sami Callihan would be the deciding factor as he distracted Damage and allowed Moxley to pick up the victory. This is one of my favorite CZW/Death Matches of all time. It's the perfect underdog story with Moxley, a guy who was unestablished as a hardcore wrestler at this point, taking a brutal beating from a long time combat zone competitor only to fight like the underdog he is and come out on top. Moxley established himself here while also keeping his heel persona by the victory coming via cheap tactics.

Match rating - ****

After the match, Brain Damage viciously assaults some guy who helped Callihan distract him during the match. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley and Sami Callihan cut a promo from backstage about how they are the real deal whether Brain Damage wants to admit it or not. I loved this promo. To quote Moxley, "I'm Jon Motherfuckin Moxley!"

7) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage vs. Scotty Vortekz - CZW: Tournament of Death VIII - Semi Final Round Match - 6/6/09
This was very similar to the previous match on the set as all three guys basically just beat the shit out of each other with a variety of weapons. Light tubes and all kinds of stuff. The most notable spot saw Moxley take a bundle of light tubes to the head courtesy of Nick Gage. This is a picture that has made the rounds online, including in an article on WWE's website. Crazy stuff, not much else I can say. Just a good deathmatch with a bunch of spots.

Match rating - ***1/2

8) Jon Moxley vs. DJ Hyde vs. Thumbtack Jack vs. Danny Havoc - CZW: Best of the Best 9 - 6/13/09

The aftermath of the 2009 Tournament of Death is completely encompassed in this match. Mox is still trying to prove himself, Hyde wants payback on Thumbtack, and Havoc as he said in his pre-match promo just wants to fuck someone up. All four guys get a chance to talk pre-match which set the stage well for this. They get going and the weapons break out after a few seconds. Everyone ends up bleeding thanks to chairshots and forks. Thumbtacks come out along with the brick that DJ Hyde brought to the ring. They do stuff for several minutes then Devon Moore came running out and superkicked Moxley & Havoc which allows Hyde to hit his signature lariat on Jack for the win.

Match rating - **1/4

9) Jon Moxley vs. Scotty Vortex - CZW: Starting Point - 7/11/09

These two took part in an insane match earlier in this set at Tournament of Death so I was looking forward to what they would do here. While it wasn't anywhere near as brutal & crazy as their TOD match, it was still entertaining. The only weapon involved was a chair so it was a nice change of pace after the deathmatches that led up to this bout. Solid little contest.

Match rating - **3/4

Disc 2:
10) Jon Moxley & Sami Callihan vs. Drake Younger & Scotty Vortex - CZW: A Tangled Web Death - 8/8/09

We left Disc 1 with the Switchblade/Naptown Dragons feud just beginning. We enter Disc 2 and it's reached a boiling point. Here the two teams faced off in a different style of deathmatch wrestling that saw two cell walls hanging off the side of the ring with barbwire on them. This match is aptly called "The Tangled Web DeathMatch". The cage walls got put to use early and often during the match as we saw suplexes into the "tangled web" among other things. Very enjoyable hardcore match with alot of "Oh my god!" moments.

Match rating - ***1/2

11) Jon Moxley vs. xOMGx - CZW: Down With The Sickness Forever - 9/12/09

I'm not going to give this one a rating because it didn't really have a finish. It is worth watching though because it's a perfect lead in to the next match on the set. As for the match, it had it's moments despite being short. The most memorable saw Moxley suplex OMG onto the steel steps. During the match, Nick Gage hit the ring and just went everyone thought he was going to hit Moxley with a chair, he turns and hits OMG! I didn't see that coming at all considering the bad blood between the two earlier in this set. New CZW owner at the time, DJ Hyde comes out and gets jumped by Moxley. Moxley, Gage, & The Hate Club beat down Hyde and put him through glass. Gage gets on the mic and explains his reason for doing what he did which was because he never got a call when CZW got sold. Gage goes on to say that he hates the company and the fans. Major heel turn. Great segment.

12) Jon Moxley & The H8 Club vs. DJ Hyde, Scotty Vortex, & xOMGx - Fans Bring The Weapons - CZW: Severed Ties - 10/10/09
This was just as brutal as the other deathmatches on this set although it was different in that it was more of a brawl that raged all around the ring. There were so many competitors in this match though so that probably explains that. None the less, this was enjoyable although it was a clusterfuck of a fight for the most part. Gage picks up the cheap win over Hyde.

Match rating - **3/4

13) Jon Moxley vs. Thumbtack Jack - Four Corners of Hell Dog Collar Match - Tournament of Death: Rewind - 10/25/09

Extremely brutal dog collar match here. Arguably the sickest on the set so far as mouse traps and syringes were used. Moxley got mouse traps placed on his fingers only to slap Jack with them. Moxley then backed TJ into the corner and put one on his tongue. A staple gun played a major part in this match as well as both guys fell victim to it on various occassions throughout the match. Insane stuff here. Drew Gulak was calling the action which was interesting to hear.

Match rating - **3/4

14) Jon Moxley vs. B-Boy vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Egotistico Fantastico - CZW Cage of Death XI - 12/12/09

This was a pretty basic four way although it was still enjoyable. There were a number of cool spots including B-Boy hitting a double foot stomp onto both Kingston & Moxley and B-Boy hitting an ace crusher on the ring apron. It's nothing that will blow you away, but it's still a fun watch and easy on the eyes. The definition of action packed.

Match rating - ***

15) Jon Moxley & Sami Callihan vs. Danny Havoc & Necro Butcher - CZW High Stakes 4 - 1/3/10

I was looking forward to this considering the names involved, but it wasn't quite as brutal as expected. None the less, it was still a pretty fun brawl. Steel chairs played a big part in the match and a railing was brought into play as well. For some reason I couldn't really get into this one. It felt like it was just moving into slow motion the whole time and I'm not a big fan of messy brawls like this anyway. The stipulation to this match was pretty intriguing though as all four guys were fighting for something. For instance, if Necro won he got a street fight with Sami, if Moxley lost he would no longer be #1 Contender, etc. The stip was the only thing that kept me interested, pretty dull match.

Match rating - **1/2

Disc 3:
16) Jon Moxley vs. B-Boy - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - 11th Anniversary Show - 2/13/10

As you would probably expect from a match involving B-Boy, this was a hard hitting affair that saw the two men slugging it out in the center of the ring on several occassions. They incorporated alot of cool spots into this match including B-Boy diving off the top turnbuckle onto Moxley through a table and an ace crusher on the ring apron. The crowd chanted "This is Awesome" during the bout however they were pretty much dead for several spots that they should have popped for. Moments like B-Boy hitting a death valley driver on Moxley into the corner only got a reaction from the commentators and myself, it felt like. Regardless, both men worked hard and delivered a solid world title bout. It probably could have reached that next level had the crowd been more into it though. Huge win for Moxley here as he becomes the CZW World Champion.

Match rating - ***

17) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - Walking on Pins & Needles - 3/13/10

After a sloppy brawl and solid singles bout with B-Boy, Moxley returns to hardcore action here with his first CZW World Title defense. Alot of people knock deathmatch wrestling and while brawls like the tag vs Havoc & Necro are pretty hard to get into, matches like this are very enjoyable. Unless you cringe easily, that is. Moxley and Gage chose a fork & a pizza cutter as their weapon of choice to start the bout which led to both men dubbing the crimson mask. A railing got brought into play about half-way through and we saw Gage take a backbody drop onto it before suplexing Moxley onto yet it still didn't break fully. Barbwire made an appearance during the final stretch of the match as Moxley suplexed Gage through a barbwire board that was sitting on a table. Mox was finally able to put Gage away with his signature face buster finisher onto a chair. The first of many epic encounters between Moxley & Gage.

Match rating - ***1/2

18) Jon Moxley vs. Sami Callihan - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - Swinging for The Fences - 4/10/10

The two members of the Switchblade Conspiracy go at it one on one here for the CZW World Title. This one really surprised me in that it was a pretty clean match whereas I expected it to be ultraviolent. The entire first half of the match was clean, crisp wrestling which put the chemistry these two have from training together on display. Things got a bit heated in the second half as Callihan slapped Mox and in return, Mox bit Callihan which busted him open. The two traded submissions during the final stretch of this great match which Moxley would end up winning.

Match rating - ***1/2

19) Jon Moxley vs. Greg Excellent - CZW: Lines In The Sand - 6/12/10

Meh. Nothing really to talk about here. Moxley basically issued an open non-title challenge and Excellent came out saying he wanted to prove something to DJ Hyde. He called Moxley a joke and the match got underway. It didn't last long and it wasn't anything to rave about while it lasted.

Match rating - **

Jon Moxley/DJ Hyde confrontation - CZW: Lines In The Sand - 6/12/10

After the match, Moxley challenges Hyde to come down to the ring and he obliges him, but it was the wrong decision. Sami Callihan and Joe Gacy hit the ring and completely demolished the boss. They placed Hyde under a sheet of glass and hit it with a chair which made it explode onto him. Hyde is left in the ring bleeding as Mox comes back into the ring and says there's no one in the building who can beat him. Just as he says that, the lights go out and the bell tolls - it's NICK F'N GAGE!

20) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage - CZW: Lines In The Sand - 6/12/10
After seeing this third encounter between Moxley & Gage, I've come to the conclusion that they can't have a bad match. This one was just as brutal as their previous bouts with Moxley being busted open very early on and bleeding continuously throughout the match. Both men were thrown into the glass on several occassions including a sick german suplex with a bridge into it from Gage to Moxley. Another good one between Gage & Mox.

Match rating - ***1/4

21) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage vs. Egotistico Fantastico - CZW: Home Sweet Home - 7/10/10

Another Moxley/Gage match? Hell yeah! I think the best way to describe this match is that it was a mixed bag. It was ultraviolent then again it wasn't. The only weapon brought into play was a staplegun and while that will make you cringe, the majority of the match was just high impact action between the three although Gage was bleeding profusely throughout the bout. Fun three-way that saw Moxley plant Gage chest/face first into a chair with his finisher for the victory.

Match rating - ***

Disc 4:
22) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage vs. Drake Younger - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - Southern Violence - 8/7/10

I had heard alot about this match prior to watching it and boy it sure as hell lived up to expectations! The crowd was very small, significantly less than 100 people, yet these three guys still put it all out there and gave them more than their money's worth. Bundles of light tubes after bundles of light tubes, fighting outside in the back of a truck & on the grass, chair shots, a table bump - this one had it all. The brutality here was off the chain as Moxley bled profusely from the head while Drake's back looked like a cheese grater had cut it from all the light tube shots he took. He got back body dropped on a picnic table and you could see blood & chunks of skin left on it when he fell off. With that being said, this one isn't for those with weak stomachs. Deathmatch wrestling at it's finest here. Insane match, the best on this DVD so far and my favorite CZW match of all time (as of now).

Match rating - ****

23) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage vs. Egotistico Fantastico - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - Tangled Web 3 - 8/14/10

This was originally supposed to be a singles encounter between Moxley and Ego to determine a #1 Contender to the World Title however Gage got into it with Fantastico which led to Moxley coming out. Gage said fuck it and gave both men a title shot. Impromptu three way dance! It spilled into the crowd immediately as Gage & Mox brawled while Ego positioned himself on the turnbuckle and dove onto them. This match was much better than the previous three way that these guys had earlier on this set. The action never slowed down and all three guys fought like hell over the World Title. Gage got busted open thanks to a ladder to the back of the head thanks to Moxley, other than that there wasn't any blood in the match while it was still quite brutal and many weapons were used. The ending saw Ego bodyslam Gage out of the ring onto a huge chair pyramid meanwhile Mox took advantage by catching him off guard and picking up the win. Moxley regains the title only a week after losing it! Great match.

Match rating - ***1/2

24) Jon Moxley vs. Scotty Vortekz - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - Down With The Sickness - 9/10/10

Vortekz outquicked Moxley in the opening moments of this match which led to Mox resorting to ultraviolence to gain the advantage. It may not seem like a logical strategy considering Vortekz was the Tournament of Death champ in 2010, but it worked for Mox as he used a pair of scissors to bust open Vortekz which gained him the advantage. Moxley worked over Scotty thoroughly through the majority of the match, firmly establishing him as the underdog. The ref stopped the bout due to blood loss yet he pushed off the refs as Drake Younger and Danny Havoc urged him to continue. Vortekz did just that. Moxley went for his finisher however Vortekz countered out of it and we got some nice back & forth action between the two. Scotty brought out a bag of thumbtacks and glass and suplexed Moxley into it, but he kicked out. Mox picked up the victory by hitting the hook & ladder on Vortekz, planting him face first into the tacks & glass. This was a solid match that did a great job of establishing Moxley as a dominant champ and making Vortekz look like the underdog that never stops fighting.

Match rating - ***

25) Jon Moxley vs. Robert Anthony - CZW World Heavyweight Title Match - It's Always Bloody in Philadelphia - 10/9/10

After multiple triple threat matches also involving Nick Gage, Egotistico Fantastico (now unmasked and known as Robert Anthony), finally gets his one on one shot for the World Title against Moxley. Anthony took control early and was very cocky. He did a nice job of putting his new persona on display here by breaking the glass pane that Mox brought into the match and shoving it out of the ring so it couldn't be used. Moxley also put on display his reputation of being the most crafty champion in CZW history by catching Anthony off guard and winning via roll up. The action here was great as well. We got some solid wrestling and a bit of violence along with it. One thing I'd also like to note here is how into Moxley the crowd was. The audience was easily into this match more than any previous one on this set which made for some close nearfalls. Good match!

Match rating - ***1/4

As Moxley is celebrating, the bell tolls and out walks Nick Gage! Man, the feud between these two is becoming one of my favorites just from watching this set. Every time that music hits and Mox is in the ring, I get pumped. Gage hits the ring with a barb wire bat, but Moxley and Ego get away. This sets up a No Rope Barbed Wire Match for the next show. That's gonna be bonkers!

26) Jon Moxley vs. Devon Moore vs. Alex Colon vs. Josh Hybrid vs. Niles Young vs. Tyler Veritas - Elimination Match - NWA Force-1 - Big Trouble in Little Egg Harbor - 10/15/10
After a load of CZW matches, the set turns to Mox's debut in NWA Force-1. This was a nice change of pace as we got to see Moxley compete in a different enviroment against a variety of challengers. The highlight of the match saw Devon Moore dive off the top of the entrance way onto all the competitors. From the looks of it, this was an opening match on the show and it did a fine job getting the event going. Nothing special though.

Match rating - **1/4

27) Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage - No Rope Barbed Wire Match for the CZW World Heavyweight Title - Deja Vu 5 - 10/16/10

With the past these two have, there was alot of hype going into this one. Unfortunately, the crowd was slim so I'm not sure if these guys were motivated to go all out or not although they did so despite a small crowd at Southern Violence. None the less, this was a pretty basic barbed wire match. It wasn't bad per say however it wasn't on the level of other classic barbed wire rope matches I've seen such as Homicide/Corino and Necro/Whitmer. Nor was it as good as their previous matches. It was a fitting end to the feud though as we saw Moxley put down Gage one last time and proclaim "This is it between you and me, Nicky, no more!" Despite it not being on the level that I expected, it's still a bout I'll go back and watch again due to it being their last ever encounter.

Match rating - **3/4

28) Jon Moxley vs. Danny Havoc - LIVE in Germany - 11/6/10

This was part of CZW's first tour of Germany and Mox went into it as the champion. The crowd here was pretty dead for the most part although the atmosphere was pretty cool as there was a bar to one side of the ring. The action stayed in the ring for the most part aside from a bit of brawling and an elbow drop through a big piece of plywood. Adam Cole & Drew Gulak were on commentary which was cool to hear considering where Moxley is now and where they are. Solid world title match although it wasn't as good as I expected. This was a double shot weekend though so it's understandable why they didn't go all out. Good for what it was.

Match rating - **3/4

Disc 5:
29) Jon Moxley vs. Devon Moore - CZW ToD vs. Gorefest - 11/7/10

When browsing forums prior to buying this DVD, I saw alot of people name this as one of Mox's best matches on the Indies. That being said, I had some expectations going into this one, but unfortunately they weren't met. This was a solid bout that kept me entertained from start to finish however to say that it's one of Mox's best would be a stretch, in my opinion. Maybe the people discussing it were omitting his deathmatch work though because as far as just straight up matches go, this was one of the most entertaining on the set however I'd go with the Callihan match before this one. None the less, it was satisfying action from bell to bell.

Match rating - ***

30) Jon Moxley, DJ Hyde, & Tyler Veritas vs. Jon Dahmer, Andrew Graves, & Devon Moore - NWA Force-1 Kicks Ass - 11/12/10

Much like the previous NWA Force 1 match on this set, this was a pretty basic bout. There's really not much to talk about here. Just your average six man tag featuring some big names from CZW in the form of Moxley, Hyde, & Moore.

Match rating - **1/4

31) Jon Moxley vs. Drake Younger - CZW Night of Infamy 9: Betrayal - 11/13/10

At this point in the set, I was pretty burnt out. I really enjoyed Discs 3 & 4 and the entire Gage feud however things began getting repetitive at this point. The NWA Force 1 matches were dull and the Devon Moore match wasn't able to live up to the possibly unreasonable expectations I had for it considering all the chatter. As for this match, it fell under the category of the CZW matches being somewhat repetitive. I think that's why the crowd is always so quiet, because they see this stuff every show. Drake brought a fork into play early and busted Mox open with it. The first half of the bout consisted of that however Mox would recover and piledrive Drake through a table. The good booking of Moxley as a crafty champ continued here as he picked up the win via roll up.

Match rating - **3/4

32) Jon Moxley vs. Homicide - CZW: Cage of Death XII - 12/11/10

One of the the things I really disliked about this set was how dead the crowd was in the CZW arena which is unfortunately where nearly every bout took place. In an age where there are crowds like the ones at PWG, a dull crowd can really hinder the enjoyment of a match. That was the case here, much like with several other matches on this set. I wanted to get into this one so badly, but it felt like no one cared except the two men working the match. And to their credit, they strung together a solid contest. It was extremely hard fought and it showed as Moxley nose bled profusely during the bout. Nice match, it just didn't have the atmosphere of a World Title bout AT ALL.

Match rating - ***

After the match, Mox is celebrating when Brodie Lee (Luke Harper) hits the ring and attacks him which leads in perfectly to the next match.

33) Jon Moxley vs. Brodie Lee - CZW World Championship Title Match - From Small Beginnings Comes Great Things - 1/7/11
This is one of the matches that I was most looking forward to seeing. Considering where these two men are now, its always fun to look back on their past battles. This was exactly you would expect from both guys - a smash mouth brawl. There wasn't alot of plunder brought into play until the last quarter of the bout in which Brodie brought a pain of glass down to the ring and it was put to use. I can't remember many specifics about this encounter, but I remember really enjoying it.

Match rating - ***1/4

34) Jon Moxley vs. Robert Anthony - CZW World Championship Title Match - TWELVE - 2/12/11

They do these weird SUPER LONG INTRODUCTIONS with a bunch of facts about both guys and then things finally get underway. This was a straight up traditional wrestling match in which Robert anthony tried to fullfil his dream/destiny while Moxley tried to retain the title that he won at the previous year's anniversary event. There's not really much to talk about in this match, to be honest. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the most entertaining or intriguing match I've ever seen. A few notable moments inclue Moxley taking Anthony's jacket & prancing around in it before diving onto him with it on, Moxley going for a dive and eating shit on the floor, and a great flurry from Anthony near the end where he hit a step up hurricanrana and a sweet moonsault. After the aforementioned flurry, Anthony grabbed a mic and yelled for Moxley to stay down only to be met with a fist to the face. They do a series of nearfalls with pinning combinations then go to trading big moves including a death valley driver off the top rope. Anthony hits three repeated gringo killer/drake's landing variations for the eventual win. It was almost a chore to sit through this entire match. The crowd didn't get into it until near the end where they still barely reacted to stuff. It just felt like this was in slow motion the entire time and they never picked up a consisent run of steam despite a few flurries. This went too long for it's own good.

Match rating - **1/2

35) Jon Moxley vs. Jake Crist - International Incident - 4/10/11

We just saw Robert Anthony defeat Jon Moxley for the CZW Title and now he's coming out with Moxley and neither man has the title? Would have liked a little clip or something showing how we got from A to B however this is the end of the set so it's whatever. Fun little eight minute match here. It was clearly one of Mox's last CZW appearances as the commentators hinted at his name changing and how he "certainly won't be losing any jobs in the future". Despite that being obvious, Moxley's character was no different as he was a heel now since aligning with Anthony and he still played that well by using the tights to win.

Match rating - **1/2

Overall thoughts:
I'd say this is the definition of a mixed bag as you have insane deathmatches and traditional pro wrestling matches. You have tag matches, four ways, and singles matches. You have highly entertaining matches and some really boring ones. The death match stuff is clearly the highlight here and makes this worth purchasing if you're a fan of Moxley (or Ambrose in the WWE). That's really the best way to put it because most of the regular matches fall short, especially when compared to his current WWE work, however the death matches are all crazy and unlike anything you'll ever see him do nowadays. So, the final verdict is thumbs up if you're a fan of his & like deathmatches. Thumbs down if you're wanting a "Best of" with nothing but WWE style, traditional encounters.
